HOLLY ANDRES

Rather than using her camera to capture pivotal moments as they occur in real life, Holly Andres carefully orchestrates stylized scenes, which she then suspends and shoots at the height of dramatic tension, seemingly moments before or after a major shift of events. Andres draws upon her childhood memories and female experiences to create her photographic narratives, which often unfold in domestic and suburban settings with children and young women as their main protagonists. HOLLY ANDRES
